The route has been designed for every type of cyclist with the lowest degree of difficulty possible for you to make the best of what Lisbon has to offer!


The tour goes along several worthy points of city’s best postcards, and our guides can tell you all about them!

Starting at the most famous roundabout of Lisbon, Marquês de Pombal, then following the most expensive and fashionable shopping avenue and streets of downtown, drawn after the 1755 earthquake, until we reach the Tagus River which inspired the Portuguese discoveries.

The cycle route continues along the river, from Terreiro do Paço to the world famous Tower of Belém, a symbol of the Portuguese discoveries, passing under one of the bridge’s over the Tagus River and a number of famous monuments in Lisbon.

Our bikes are the most suitable for the type of tour we provide. The models differ in gender and sizes for a perfect fit.


As we like to strive for safety, we offer various helmet sizes for those who want to use them. We are not as permissive with kids as we strongly advise their use.

Child seats

Smaller children do not have to pedal because Lisbon byCycle offers seats for children up to 7 years of age. Children over 7 can pedal alongside adults.

What is the meeting point for the start of the tour?

The tour begins at the Marques de Pombal roundabout, right by the touristic bus tour stop. Your guide will be at this site 15 minutes before the tour. Do not be late!

What is the best path to get to the meeting point?

There are several alternatives to this location in the city center. Follow the Metro Blue Line until Marquês de Pombal Station or any other public transport to this point.

Will the tour take place with rain?

Lisbon has its charm with sun or rain. The Lisbonbycycle offers raincoats for rainy days. As there are limits to everything, even rain, see our terms and conditions.

How many people are admitted on a tour?

Our tour is limited to a maximum of 12 participants for security reasons and so that you can enjoy a pleasant stroll and quality service from your guide.

Do I need to be in shape to do this tour?

Our tour does not require you to be in shape and is appropriate for all ages. Whether you are heavy, thin, young or old this tour provides a favorable slope without ups and downs and almost always along a bike path.

Is helmet use mandatory?

Portuguese law does not require the use of helmets for cycling. However, as we like to strive for safety, we offer various helmet sizes for those who want to use them. We are not as permissive with kids as we strongly advise their use.

Yes, our guides did not start speaking English yesterday. They are fluent in the universal language of communication and are able to clarify your curiosities however strange they may be.

Is it mandatory to make a reservation?

Yeah, it sure is! Not wanting to leave anyone behind, it is essential that you book now!

How much time in advance do I need to make the reservation?

Given that space is limited, we recommend that you make your reservation in advance. This allows you to check the availability of our tour.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that there are unexpected circumstances, but because we are organized, we have a cancellation policy available for consultation in the Terms and Conditions section of our tour.

Can I store my luggage during the tour?

Yes, you can store small volumes during the tour.
